You wouldn’t even really need too much help as you would just be throwing the pokeball part? You would still need help on that though, you have never thrown a pokeball before… but it couldn’t be too hard right?

“How far away is it?”

He puts the pokedex away and instead takes to looking at his pokegear. The map card, to be more specific.

“Well, we’re here, and the Safari Zone is there.”

He pointed to Goldenrod City, then to where the Safari Zone is. There’s quite a lot of space between the two.

“So we have pretty far to go.”

Aw~ Zigzagoon was really cute! so was the furret! nd there had been so many others that had been really cute too~ but those two stuck with you right now!

“I think that the Zigzagoon or a furret would be a good first Pokemon for me! they are just so cute~ and it looks like I could cuddle with them and that they would be soft too~!”

You giggle a bit more, so excited about this.

“Yeah, I imagine they would be.”

He checked the information on the two Pokemon, finding locations where they’re most often seen. It’s seems like the two species share one place in common. The Safari Zone. Unsurprising.

“We can find them at the Safari Zone. You don’t have to use other Pokemon to catch them there either. It’s like an arena where Pokemon are set free and trainers can go in and catch them with special pokeballs the Safari Zone gives them.”

It’s pretty normal where I’m from. There are loads of people named after colors, jewels, and stuff.

You knew that Gold probably knew a lot more than you already, and you couldn’t stop smiling at how excited you were right now.

“Well,”

He reached in his pocket and pulled out his pokedex, flipping through profiles.

“There’s a lot of fluffy, cute Pokemon out there. There’s Meowth…. Furret… Smeargle… Zigzagoon….”

As he listed off Pokemon, he showed their pictures to John. The list didn’t stop at Zigzagoon. He continued on for a little while before stopping.

“Like I said, there’s a lot.”

Well Gold had promised to help you one day to help you get a pokemon. You aren’t in your birdsprite self but in your normal Trickster self. You aren’t even floating. So you pretty much were just waiting for Gold to show up, humming softly as you waited.

You started to think of what pokemon you may get? Something cute! and wouldn’t mind that you were a birdsprite most of the time… Maybe you could get a bird pokemon? You weren’t sure. You didn’t really like too many of the bird pokemon. You liked the fluffy and very cute ones!

It’s time to get this show on the road. After a short walk, Gold meets up with John just outside of the city limits of Goldenrod. Here, they can make their plans- decide what to catch, where to go, etc. etc. Then, make their preparations and be on their way to start this mini journey of theirs.

With Aitaro hanging out on his shoulder (both figuratively and occasionally literally), he finds the other boy and approaches him with a big grin and a quick wave. “Hey, John! Excited about catching your first Pokemon?”
